摘要

英文写作是英语学****者应当掌握的四项基本技能之一,是英语学****过程中
不可或缺的一环。由于英文写作是听、说、读、写四项英语技能中最难掌握的,
因此一直以来都为中外英语教师所关注。对于民族高校非英语专业的学生来说,
由于大部分学生是少数民族,受母语及其他因素的影响,英文写作能力有待加
强。根据韩礼德和哈桑(1976)的观点,衔接在语篇连贯中起着重要的作用,
而连贯是形成语篇的最重要前提。不少学者就衔接理论在英语写作教学中的作
用进行了探索,取得了一定成果。目前对于非英语专业学生英语写作教学的研
究很多,但针对民族高校学生尚不多见。
本研究以 100 名非英语专业二年级学生所写的 100 篇议论文为语料,以韩
礼德和哈桑的衔接理论为理论依据,同时将错误分析理论应用到语篇中的衔接
问题上。基于 100 篇作文的语料分析试图找出民族高校非英语专业学生英语作
文中的衔接问题及发生原因。本研究采用定量的研究方法,分别统计出学生作
文中的衔接手段和衔接错误的数目,采用定性的分析方法并指出了导致部分衔
接错误的可能原因,旨在加强教师和学生使用衔接手段的意识,以期能对英语
教学有所裨益。
本研究的分析结果显示,学生在人称指称、指示指称、连接词的使用、词
汇重复、以及概括词的使用上存在一些问题。这些问题严重影响了文章的连贯
性。衔接错误的根源包括母语的负迁移,过度概括,老师诱导等因素。作文中
的衔接错误严重影响了文章的质量。民族高校非英语专业学生掌握衔接知识的
情况不容乐观。因此,传授相关知识,对提高他们的写作能力有着现实意义,
不能小视。由于本研究属于一种小范围的研究,难免存在不足之处,有关实践
问题仍有待进一步探索。

A Study on Cohesive Errors in English Writing of EFL Students from Universities for Nationalities

Abstract

English writing is one of the four basic skills that an English learner should
have and that is indispensable link to the process of teaching English as a foreign
language. Being the most difficult one among the four skills of listening, speaking,
reading and writing, it has attracted the attention of many English teachers at home
or broad. For the students from Universities for Nationalities, because of the effects
of their mother tongue and other factors, the ability of English writing need to be
improved. According to Halliday and Hasan (1976), cohesion is the foundation of
coherence that is the most important prerequisite for the text. Therefore, quite a few
have examined the role of this theory and made some achievements in teaching the
students how to write. Not many studies have been done, however, in the field of
writing instruction for the students from Universities for Nationalities.
